When we meet you we can advise on how long it will take to clean your house, taking into account how you like it to be cleaned. That's the beauty of the way we work - we appreciate that not all homes are the same - the same shoe doesn't fit all clients! We will also take into account your budget and work out the best possible plan for you.
This is similar to the weekly service, but not exactly the same. Whereas with weekly you might expect the whole house to be cleaned from top to bottom, with fortnightly cleaning some jobs might be put on a different schedule. Your cleaner will help you decide what's best for you and your home according to what your priorities are.
Imagine coming home to a house that has been cleaned from top to bottom!
We do offer Spring Cleaning, but only to our regular clients. This might, for example, take the form of a thorough deep clean of your house once a year - possibly even in the Spring, but not necessarily! You will arrange this directly with your cleaner - we do not even need to even be involved. In other words, spring cleaning is less per hour than your normal regular cleaning. We think this is a major benefit of the Featherduster way of doing things.
Please note: Our clients usually prefer to use their own cleaning products in their own home, including their own vacuum cleaner. Some also like the cleaner to provide all the products - it is completely up to you. If you ask the cleaner to provide anything, it is fair and usual for them to make a small charge for this. We are very flexible - simply discuss your requirements directly with your cleaner.
Note: Most of our clients prefer to use their own cleaning products and vacuum cleaner as this ensures that there isn't cross contamination from other peoples homes - for example dog hairs on the vacuum cleaners roller - and also ensures that their house is cleaned with products they like. If you would prefer for the cleaner to provide the cleaning products please discuss and agree this with the cleaner when you talk through your requirements with them (the cleaner will probably charge extra for providing the products).

We don't operate in teams, and therefore you get the same cleaner every week. This is good because you develop a relationship with your cleaner. We have some clients who have had the same cleaner for years and years - and that's what we want for you.
We are not happy until you are! Your cleaner will usually tailor their services to fit exactly with your requirements, including spring cleaning and ironing.
Only 1 in 50 applicants makes it on to our carefully screened database. We interview them twice, visit them in their own homes and take up at least two references. And if they still subsequently don't measure up to your standards, we will send you someone who does.
At the start of the 'lockdown' we advised you of the government guidelines with regard to your cleaning and we now have an update on those guidelines
The government is advising all cleaners can return to work from this week. This is dependent on the following social distancing guidelines being followed:
The good news with regard to cleaning is that the cleaners can social distance from their clients very easily, and we would advise that, if you are at home when they are there, that you remain in a separate room to your cleaner.
